About
Baylor University’s Accelerate programs provide a unique opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors to build a strong foundation for their college journeys. These courses, which apply to multiple majors, allow students to explore their interests in an environment that prepares them for the rigor of Baylor and other universities’ academics at a discounted price. These program offerings include Accelerate and Early Admission Track.
Accelerate is the general pre-college program that allows high school students to take Baylor classes online while still in high school.
Early Admission Track is a special program for students who want to earn freshman admission to Baylor. Students in this program have the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school and conditional acceptance into Baylor.
Courses for both programs are $750 per credit hour. Most courses are 3-4 hours of credit, so the Accelerate courses are between $2,250-3,000 a class: a savings of $1,300 per hour! As a note: Since the Accelerate courses are already heavily discounted, we do not offer financial aid for Accelerate courses.
Admission to the Accelerate program is competitive: Rising high school juniors and rising high school seniors are expected to demonstrate an exemplary academic record with excellent GPAs of mostly As and Bs in their high school courses.
Summer 2024 Application opens February 1!
